Vadodara में 2 किलो Pak-origin heroin, जिसकी कीमत करीब 12 करोड़ रुपये बताई गई है, बरामद की गई।

कार्रवाई में Rohit Godara और Mahender Delana gang के एक कथित key member को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।

जांच में narco-extortion network और Pakistan-based narcotics links सामने आने की बात कही गई है।

1. SUMMARY & KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Special Cell (Eastern Range), Delhi Police, in a joint operation with Vadodara City Crime Branch (Gujarat Police) busted a major narco-extortion module operated by Mahender Delana, a key associate of gangster Rohit Godara.
❖ Arrested Accused: Kuldeep Swami (age 31), native of Churu, Rajasthan.
❖ Recoveries: 2 Kg fine-quality heroin (Pakistani origin), 1 Maruti Swift Dzire car (DL 9CAM 4***) fitted with a secret cavity, and a currency note used for hawala token verification.
❖ Background: Accused was wanted in a ₹10 Crore high-profile extortion case registered at Vadodara city Crime Branch, Gujarat.

2. OPERATION AND ARREST
Following actionable intelligence shared by Vadodara Crime Branch regarding a ₹10 Crore extortion threat where the first installment was scheduled to be handed over in Delhi, a joint operation was launched under the supervision of ACP Rahul Kumar Singh and led by Inspectors Rahul Kumar, Vineet Kumar and Ajit Singh. On September 12, 2026, at approximately 5:30 PM, based on a credible input, team members intercepted Kuldeep Swami near Bikaner Sweets, Kucha Ghasi Ram, Chandni Chowk, Delhi. At the time of apprehension, a currency note (used as a token photo sent via Telegram to authenticate hawala collection) and keys to a Swift Dzire vehicle were recovered from his possession.

3. INTERROGATION & DRUG RECOVERY
Sustained interrogation of the accused revealed that a consignment of narcotic substances was concealed in his vehicle parked at Jai Vihar, Najafgarh, Delhi. The team immediately raided the premises at Jai Vihar, Phase-1, Najafgarh. Upon searching the vehicle (Maruti Swift Dzire, Reg. No. DL 9CAM 4***), officers recovered four packets containing approximately 2 kg of fine-quality heroin of Pakistani origin, hidden inside a specially fabricated secret cavity near the spare-tyre area in the boot space. Consequently, Case FIR No. 212/2026 dated September 13, 2026, under Sections 21/25 of the NDPS Act was registered at PS Special Cell, Delhi.

4. MODUS OPERANDI
Investigation established that the syndicate operated a multi-layered, dual-purpose network handling both extortion money collection and drug trafficking:
❖ Coded Communication: Communications were conducted via social media platforms (Instagram/Telegram) using pre-decided code words, live locations and photographs of currency notes to authenticate identities prior to cash or drug handovers.
❖ Hawala & Extortion Operations: Kuldeep Swami acted as a primary operative/courier, receiving extortion proceeds ranging between ₹5 Lakh to ₹50 Lakh per transaction across Delhi-NCR and Rajasthan. He was paid ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 per assignment.
❖ Narcotics Supply Route: On September 5, 2026, on the instructions of Mahender Delana, Kuldeep Swami travelled to Amritsar, Punjab for receiving drugs consignment. On the next day, he met with two unidentified persons/suppliers and received the 2 kg heroin consignment, concealed it in the secret cavity of the car and drove back to Delhi.

5. PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED
 Kuldeep Swami (S/o Ganesh Das Swami), aged about 31 years, belongs to Village Kalyanpura Bidawatan, Sardar Shahar, District Churu, Rajasthan. He previously ran an agricultural commodity trading business at Krishi Mandi, Sardar Shahar, which incurred financial losses exceeding₹50 Lakh in 2022. To clear his debts, he contacted Mahender Delana via Instagram, who subsequently lured him into the narco-extortion network under the promise of clearing his financial liabilities.

 Mahender Delana is an associate of gangster Rohit Godara based abroad and allegedly, carries out gang-related activities such as murder, firing for extortion in North India especially Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan & Gujarat. Mahender Delana is a Wanted criminal and has a past involvement in more than 5 criminal cases across 3 states. Rohit Godara is a former associate of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, later on Rohit formed his separate gang with Goldy Brar. Rohit Godara and Mahender Delana are operating their gang from abroad.

6. RECOVERY:
1. 2 Kg fine quality Heroin.
2. One Maruti Swift Dzire car No. DL 9CAM 4***, used for transportation of Narcotics substance.
3. Two mobile phones.


7. CURRENT STATUS:
The accused remains in custody. Further investigation is ongoing to identify other operatives, trace hawala routes and arrest kingpin Mahender Delana and other associates.
