01 HABITUAL WOMAN DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED WITH 5.043 KG GANJA BY SPECIAL STAFF, DWARKA DISTRICT.
• 05.043 KG OF HIGH-QUALITY GANJA INCLUDING 500 SMALL POUCHES OF GANJA, PREPARED FOR SALE, RECOVERED FROM HER POSSESSION.
• ₹3,600/- CASH, ALLEGEDLY EARNED THROUGH THE SALE OF DRUGS, RECOVERED.
• ACCUSED LADY IS A LISTED BC OF PS NAJAFGARH AND WAS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN 10 CASES REGISTERED UNDER NDPS ACT AND DELHI EXCISE ACT.
• ACCUSED HAD ALLEGEDLY BEEN INVOLVED IN THE ILLEGAL TRADE OF ILLICIT LIQUOR BEFORE SWITCHING TO SALE AND SUPPLY OF GANJA.
TEAM & TASKING:-
In line with the Government of India’s policy of “Zero Tolerance” against drug trafficking and illicit drug supply, Special Staff, Dwarka District, has been continuously working to identify and apprehend persons involved in illegal drug trade.
Under the close supervision of Sh. Kushal Pal Singh, IPS - DCP/Dwarka District, and guidance of Sh. Subhash Malik, ACP/Operations, a dedicated team of Special Staff, Dwarka, headed by Insp. Kamlesh Kumar, I/C Special Staff, Dwarka, is making sustained efforts to develop intelligence regarding drug traffickers and peddlers operating in the district.
INFORMATION, RAID & ARREST :-
During these efforts, the team received specific information that Ganja packets were being prepared for sale at Nangli Vihar Extension, Village Nangli Sakrawati, Delhi.
The information further indicated that the persons involved in preparing the Ganja packets could be apprehended along with the contraband. On receipt of the information, a dedicated team comprising SI Dinesh Kumar, SI Topesh, ASI Vijay Singh, HC Jairam, HC Jagat Singh, HC Naresh, HC Rajesh, W/HC Geeta and Ct. Ravi was constituted to develop the information and take further legal action.
Accordingly, following due procedure under the NDPS Act, a raid was conducted at the said premises. During the raid, a woman namely Veena, aged about 33 years, was apprehended. A total of 5.043 Kg of Ganja was recovered from her possession, including approximately 500 small pouches of Ganja, which were prepared by her for sale in the consumers. Further, ₹3,600/- in cash, earned through the sale of drugs, was also recovered from her possession.
Subsequently, FIR No. 448/26, dated 01.10.2026, U/s 8/20/25 NDPS Act, PS Najafgarh, was registered and the accused was arrested in the case.
INTERROGATION :-
During interrogation, accused Veena disclosed that she is residing at Ranaji Enclave, Nangli Sakrawati, Najafgarh, Delhi, and originally from Punjab. She stated that after her marriage, she came to Delhi in search of employment.
She further disclosed that she subsequently became involved in the illegal sale of liquor and was arrested on several occasions.
Later, motivated by the prospect of earning easy money, she started dealing in Ganja. She had also been arrested in an NDPS Act case in 2024. However, she resumed the illegal activity and started procuring Ganja from her relatives and selling it in small pouches.
PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED:-
• Veena R/o Ranaji Enclave, Nangli Sakrawati, Najafgarh, Delhi, aged 33 years.
• She is a listed BC of PS Najafgarh and has previously been involved in 10 cases under NDPS Act and Delhi Excise Act, as per police records.
RECOVERY:-
• 5.043 Kg Ganja.
• 500 small pouches of Ganja.
• ₹3,600/- cash.
• One mobile phone allegedly used in connection with the illegal activity.
• Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify other persons involved in the supply chain.
