शाहदरा जिले के जगतपुरी थाना पुलिस ने वाहन चोरी और स्ट्रीट क्राइम के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए एक शातिर आदतन अपराधी को गिरफ्तार किया है।

शाहदरा जिले के जगतपुरी थाना पुलिस ने वाहन चोरी और स्ट्रीट क्राइम के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए एक शातिर आदतन अपराधी को गिरफ्तार किया है।

पुलिस ने आरोपी के कब्जे से तीन चोरी के वाहन और एक अवैध बटनदार चाकू बरामद किया है।

जांच में सामने आया कि आरोपी पहले भी कई आपराधिक मामलों में शामिल रहा है और लगातार वाहन चोरी की वारदातों को अंजाम दे रहा था।

जगतपुरी थाना पुलिस की सतर्कता और त्वरित कार्रवाई के चलते न केवल आरोपी गिरफ्तार हुआ, बल्कि चोरी के वाहन भी बरामद कर उनके असली मालिकों तक पहुंचाने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी गई है।

दिल्ली पुलिस का यह अभियान अपराधियों के खिलाफ लगातार जारी है, ताकि राजधानी में कानून व्यवस्था और आम नागरिकों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जा सके

INCIDENT:-
On 28.07.2026, while the police team was on routine patrolling duty, a secret informer conveyed reliable information that a habitual criminal, Amit Thakur @ Kale, was travelling on a stolen Hero Splendour motorcycle and carrying an illegal button-actuated knife. It was further informed that he would be coming from Karkari Mor towards Chitra Vihar Red Light via Master Plan Road with the intention of committing a crime.
Acting swiftly on the information, a dedicated police team laid a strategic trap. At about 5:25 PM, the suspect was spotted and signalled to stop. On seeing the police, he allegedly panicked and attempted to flee. However, due to the rain-soaked road, his motorcycle slipped, enabling the police team to apprehend him successfully. The registration number of the motorcycle (DL1SZ72XX) was verified, which revealed that it had been reported stolen vide e-MVT No. 17357/26 dated 27.07.2026, registered under Section 305(B) BNS at PS Wazirabad, Delhi. During his personal search, the police recovered one button-actuated knife from his possession. The accused was identified as Amit Thakur @ Kale, age 33 years. Accordingly, FIR No. 286/2026 dated 28.07.2026 under Section 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Jagatpuri.
During sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that he used stolen vehicles to commit snatching and other street crimes. Acting on his disclosure, the police team recovered two more stolen two-wheelers, thereby solving three motor vehicle theft cases registered in different police stations. Further investigation is in progress to identify and apprehend the receiver of the stolen vehicles as well as the supplier of the illegal weapon.

Amit Thakur @ Kale R/o Behta Hazipur, Loni, District Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Age: 33 Years. The accused is a habitual criminal and has been found previously involved in 25 criminal cases.

1. One button-actuated knife.
2. Hero Splendour Motorcycle bearing registration No. DL1SZ72XX (stolen from PS Wazirabad).
3. Hero Maestro Scooter bearing registration No. DL14SG20XX (stolen from PS Gandhi Nagar).
4. Honda Activa Scooter bearing registration No. DL3SDX50XX (stolen from PS Jagatpuri).
