जांच में सभी डबल एंट्री वीज़ा पर निर्धारित 15 दिनों की सीमा से अधिक समय तक भारत में ठहरे हुए पाए गए।
दस्तावेज़ों की जांच के बाद FRRO के माध्यम से कानूनी कार्रवाई शुरू की गई और सभी को डिटेंशन सेंटर, सेवा धाम भेज दिया गया, जहां से आगे की डिपोर्टेशन प्रक्रिया जारी है।

OPERATION VISTA 1.0: SIX BANGLADESHI NATIONALS APPREHENDED FOR VIOLATION OF VISA CONDITIONS BY FOREIGNER CELL, SPECIAL STAFF, CENTRAL DISTRICT

- SIX BANGLADESHI NATIONALS APPREHENDED FOR VIOLATING THE CONDITIONS OF THEIR DOUBLE ENTRY VISAS.
- ALL SIX FOREIGN NATIONALS FOUND OVERSTAYING BEYOND THE PERMISSIBLE 15-DAY STAY PER VISIT.
- SPECIAL VERIFICATION DRIVE CONDUCTED AT HOTELS AND GUEST HOUSES IN CENTRAL DISTRICT LED TO THE DETECTION OF THE VIOLATION.
- PASSPORTS, VISAS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS VERIFIED; LEGAL ACTION INITIATED THROUGH FRRO.
- RESTRICTION ORDERS ISSUED BY FRRO AND ALL SIX SHIFTED TO DETENTION CENTRE, SEWA DHAM, PENDING DEPORTATION PROCEEDINGS.

BRIEF OF INCIDENT

As part of the ongoing drive against foreign nationals violating visa norms, the Foreigner Cell of Special Staff, Central District, launched Operation VISTA 1.0 (Visa Status Verification) to identify, verify and take legal action against foreigners overstaying or violating visa conditions in Delhi.

During the operation, a dedicated team conducted extensive verification of hotels and guest houses across the Central District. During inspection at Hotel  at Arakashan Road, Nabi Karim, Delhi, six Bangladeshi nationals were found staying.

Verification of their passports, visas and immigration records revealed that all six had entered India on Double Entry Visas, under which they were permitted to stay in India for a maximum period of 15 days per visit. However, they had remained in India beyond the permissible period, thereby violating the conditions of their visas.

All six foreign nationals were immediately apprehended and produced before the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), which initiated legal proceedings and issued Restriction Orders for their detention pending deportation.

TEAM & OPERATION

The operation was carried out under the leadership of Inspector Sandeep Yadav, I/C Special Staff, Central District, under the close supervision of Shri Padam Singh Rana, ACP/Operations, Central District.

The raiding team comprised:

Acting on the directions of the senior officers, the team launched a systematic verification drive under Operation VISTA 1.0. Hotels, guest houses and other establishments accommodating foreign nationals were physically inspected. During verification at Hotel the team located six Bangladeshi nationals. Their passports, visas and travel records were scrutinized, revealing violations of visa conditions relating to the permissible duration of stay.

The team immediately completed the legal formalities and coordinated with the FRRO for further action.

ACCUSED APPREHENDED

1. Shafi Imam Nafis Siddiquee, Age 31 years, R/o Sylhet, Bangladesh.

2. Eahea Ahtesham, Age 31 years, R/o Sylhet, Bangladesh.

3. Asif Molla, Age 21 years, R/o Gopalganj, Bangladesh.

4. MD Bulbul Hossain, Age 20 years, R/o Sirajganj, Bangladesh.

5. Hasan Sheikh, Age 24 years, R/o Gopalganj, Bangladesh.

6. Most Tisha Khatun, Age 21 years, R/o Sirajganj, Bangladesh.

INTERROGATION

During sustained questioning, all six Bangladeshi nationals disclosed that they had entered India on valid Double Entry Visas. They admitted that they were staying at Hotel Sarthak Place in Central Delhi.

Detailed scrutiny of their travel documents established that although their visas remained valid, each visit under the visa permitted a maximum stay of only 15 days. The accused persons had exceeded the permissible period of stay without obtaining any extension or authorization from the competent authority, thereby violating the conditions of their visas.

The facts were verified from their immigration records and travel documents before initiating legal action.


Legal proceedings have been initiated through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) under the applicable provisions governing violation of visa conditions and the stay of foreign nationals in India. The FRRO has issued Restriction Orders and deportation proceedings have been initiated.

DISCLOSURE

The verification established that all six Bangladeshi nationals had entered India legally on Double Entry Visas but subsequently violated the mandatory visa conditions by overstaying beyond the permissible 15-day period allowed for each visit.

Following verification, they were produced before the FRRO, which directed that they be lodged at the Detention Centre, Sewa Dham, Shahzada Bagh, Sarai Rohilla, Delhi, until completion of deportation formalities.

The action is part of the continuing enforcement drive under Operation VISTA 1.0, aimed at identifying foreign nationals violating visa conditions and ensuring compliance with immigration laws.

RECOVERY

The following documents were taken into possession for verification and legal proceedings:

- Six Bangladeshi Passports.
- Six Indian Double Entry Visas.
- Immigration and travel-related documents.
- Hotel stay records and identity documents.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT

During verification, no previous criminal involvement of any of the six Bangladeshi nationals has come to notice. The present action pertains exclusively to violation of visa conditions by overstaying beyond the permissible period prescribed under their visas.
